Harbin University of Commerce

Founded in 1952, Harbin Commercial University is the first multidisciplinary Commercial University in China. It is one of the ten universities jointly built by the central and local governments and the key construction universities in Heilongjiang Province. It is positioned as a teaching and research university. In 2006, he was awarded "excellent" in the evaluation of undergraduate teaching level in Colleges and universities of the Ministry of education. In 2012, it was selected as the Construction College of the national "basic capacity construction project of universities in central and Western China". In 2013, it became a member of the Sino Russian Economic University Alliance. In 2014, it was awarded the title of the fourth "national civilized unit". In 2017, it was awarded the "National May 1st Labor Award".

The school covers a total area of 1165500 square meters, and the total area of school buildings is 645100 square meters. At present, there are 23152 full-time undergraduate students and 2310 graduate students.

The school has a strong faculty of 1709, including 1358 full-time teachers, 229 professors and 527 associate professors; 655 masters and 495 PhD students; 453 graduate tutors, including 63 doctoral tutors. At present, the university has one National Engineering Research Center for innovative anti-tumor drugs, one natural anti-tumor drug Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of education, one national key construction vocational teacher training base of the Ministry of education, three provincial key laboratories, two provincial engineering research centers, three provincial education department humanities and Social Science Key Research bases, and one provincial philosophy and Social Science Key Research Center Research base, three provincial key laboratories of colleges and universities.

The school has been recruiting students from 30 provinces, cities and autonomous regions in China. In the 65 years since its establishment, the university has trained 140000 professionals of all kinds for the society, many of whom have become famous experts and scholars, successful entrepreneurs and outstanding party and government management cadres, with remarkable achievements in personnel training.

The school has a number of scientific research achievements to fill the gap in China. In 1959, 601 dumpling machine, the first food machine in China, was developed. Chlorella vulgaris was used to solve the problem of the harm of alternative food to human health. In 1960, one of China's three major accounting methods, the double entry accounting method of property receipt and payment, was first established. In 1960, the teaching method of "reading, reading, discussing, speaking, doing, researching and writing" was commended and promoted at the national culture and education group meeting. Guangming Daily reported on the teaching experience of our school on May 29, 1960. In 1981, he first put forward the academic theory of cooperative development of Northeast Asian economic circle. In 1988, the first computerized automatic refueling machine in China was developed. In 1996, the first museum of Finance and currency was built and a number of influential scientific research achievements were launched. In 1999, it completed the national key scientific and technological project "commercial automation technology integration demonstration project". After 2000, the school's research achievements in Applied Economics, business administration, Chinese medicine, food science and other fields have had an important impact in the country.

In the past five years, the university has undertaken 812 vertical projects, including National Natural Science Foundation projects, national philosophy and social science foundation projects, National Science and Technology Support Program projects, Ministry of education projects, 179 horizontal projects, 351 invention patents and utility model patents, and 95 authorized projects. The scientific research achievements have won 163 provincial and ministerial awards, published 361 works, published 7617 papers, and 1863 papers included in SCI, EI and ISTP. The University publishes business research, JOURNAL OF HARBIN UNIVERSITY OF COMMERCE (NATURAL SCIENCE EDITION) and Journal of Harbin University of Commerce (SOCIAL SCIENCE EDITION), among which business research is CSSCI source journal, national Chinese core journal and China's international influential excellent academic journal, and Journal of Harbin University of Commerce (SOCIAL SCIENCE EDITION) is CSSC I extended edition comes from journals and national top 100 social science journals.

The University attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation, and has established educational cooperation and academic exchange relations with 73 institutions in 27 countries and regions, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Russia, South Korea, Japan, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands and Norway.
