Dalian Ocean University is the only interdisciplinary University in northern China, which is characterized by marine and aquatic disciplines and coordinated development of agriculture, engineering, science, management, arts, law, economics, arts and other disciplines. The school was founded in 1952, formerly known as northeast fisheries technical school, upgraded to Dalian Fisheries College in 1958 and Dalian Fisheries College in 1978. In 2000, it was transferred to Liaoning Province by the Ministry of agriculture. In 2008, he passed the undergraduate teaching evaluation of the Ministry of education with excellent results. In 2010, it was renamed Dalian Ocean University with the approval of the Ministry of education. The school is located in the beautiful coastal city of Dalian. There is one provincial key discipline of philosophy and social sciences. It has a national multi-disciplinary collaborative innovation platform -- New Rural Development Research Institute of Dalian Ocean University. The school constantly deepens the reform of education and teaching, and actively undertakes quality engineering projects and teaching research and teaching reform projects.
