Ningxia Institute of science and technology is located in Shizuishan City, a new industrialized city of landscape architecture in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The campus is on the west side of the crescent sea, adjacent to the ecological park in the East, on the south side of the old Yellow River, and on the north side of the towering Helan. The college covers an area of more than 1800 mu (water area of more than 3000 mu), with a total design building area of 350000 square meters.

Ningxia Institute of technology is an undergraduate private university approved by the Ministry of education. After more than 20 years of development, it has become an ordinary university with engineering as the main body and coordinated development of science, economics, management and other disciplines. Over the years, the college has continuously deepened the teaching reform and strengthened the teaching management, aiming at cultivating applied, skilled and innovative undergraduate and junior college talents. It has also introduced 15 foreign teachers from the United States and South Korea to teach and give lectures in the University.
