Baise Vocational College

Founded in March 2006, Baise vocational college is organized, constructed and managed by Baise Municipal People's government, and its business is under the guidance of the Education Department of the autonomous region. The college is the only labor transfer training demonstration base in Guangxi identified by the Poverty Alleviation Office of the State Council. It is the vocational education project training base for the children of poor families in dashishan District of the autonomous region. It is the labor training brand base of the human resources and Social Security Department of the Autonomous Region. It is the production safety training base of Baise City. It is the training demonstration base for the disabled in Baise City. It is also the micro training base of Baise City Business Incubation Park is the youth employment and entrepreneurship training base of Baise Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League. The Ministry of human resources and social security has issued a national vocational skill appraisal institute. The campus covers an area of 172 mu, with 16 training bases, 51 training laboratories and a total area of 16031 square meters, providing a solid guarantee for practical teaching and skills training.

At present, there are 237 teaching staff in the college, including 20 full-time teachers with master's degree or above, 23 teachers with deputy senior professional title or above, 54 teachers with double qualification, and 2 teachers listed in the outstanding talents funding plan of Guangxi Colleges and universities. At the same time, the college also hired a number of enterprise craftsmen to teach practical training courses.

The college has 8 teaching departments (departments and centers) including mechanical engineering department, material engineering department, electrical engineering department, economic management department, computer engineering department, basic education department, ideological and political teaching department and skill training center. There are more than 3000 full-time students.

The college mainly focuses on engineering majors, supplemented by finance majors and other majors that meet the needs of local talents. With full-time higher vocational education as the main body, we should strive to build a diversified school running system combining secondary and higher vocational education, vocational skills training and appraisal. A multi-level school running pattern has been formed, in which academic education and non academic education are developed at the same time, academic diploma and vocational qualification certificate are emphasized at the same time, and pre service education and post service training are combined.

The college adheres to the motto of "good morality, strong technology, Baise life" and the school running policy of "taking service as the purpose, employment as the guidance, and taking the development road of combination of production, study and research". With the goal of cultivating high-quality skilled talents needed in production, construction, management and service as the first line, the college constructs the professional talent training mode of "project oriented, task driven, school enterprise cooperation, work study combination" pattern.

At the beginning of its establishment, the college took the responsibility of serving the local economy, poverty alleviation and social training. Since its establishment, it has completed more than 12000 rural labor transfer training, 3352 education training for poverty-stricken children, 24815 work safety training at all levels, and 9774 person times of vocational appraisal, which has won social praise.

As the only public higher vocational college in Baise City, the college has received strong support from all walks of life. It has received great help from Guangdong Panyu vocational and technical college, a National Demonstrative Higher Vocational College, Guangxi Construction Vocational College and Guangxi Electric Power Vocational and technical college. Guangxi University and Guilin University of Electronic Science and technology have signed a cooperation agreement with our college We have built the connection channel between college and University, shared high-quality school running resources, and greatly improved the level of education and teaching in our college. In addition, more than 20 large and medium-sized enterprises have signed school enterprise cooperation agreements with our college to jointly cultivate high-quality skilled talents to meet the needs of production, construction, management and service, and build a demonstration base for vocational education and labor transfer and employment training in Baise City, so that our college graduates are in short supply, which has been praised by employers and provides reference for the economic and social development of Baise region It has strong talent support and intellectual support. Wei Shouzeng and Huang Lanjiao, representatives of outstanding graduates of the college, were named as "the top ten people who moved Baise in 2011".
