Weifang Engineering Vocational College is a state-run general college reconstructed from the former Weifang Institute of education. It has a long history. It originated from Peizhen college founded by the Christian Church of England in 1881. The college has undergone several changes. In 1978, it was approved by the Ministry of education to establish Weifang Institute of education and started to hold higher education at the junior college level. In 1998, it was approved to be the first batch of Higher Vocational Education in Shandong Province In 2010, with the approval of the provincial government, it was transformed into Weifang Engineering Vocational College.

At present, the college has two campuses in the South and north of Qingzhou City and Weifang campus, covering a total area of more than 1500 mu, with 13 teaching departments and 44 Higher Vocational Majors. In terms of school administration cooperation, Qingzhou flower college is jointly built with Qingzhou municipal government, preschool education training center is jointly built with Weifang High tech Zone Management Committee and Weifang government kindergarten, and school in park is jointly built with Weifang Bureau of land and resources, College of geographic information engineering.
