Sichuan University of science and technology is a full-time public undergraduate college, formerly known as the Southwest Branch of East China University of Chemical Technology (now East China University of science and Technology), which was established in 1965. The university is located in Zigong City, Sichuan Province, which enjoys the reputation of "hometown of dinosaurs, Millennium salt capital and nanguodeng city". It is the key construction University of the national "Midwest university basic capacity construction project" and the "Sichuan high tech industry demonstration research unit" awarded by Sichuan Provincial People's Government.
