Henan Institute of engineering is an ordinary public undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of education and the people's Government of Henan Province in March 2007. The college has a history of more than 50 years. Over the years, relying on the two traditional pillar industries of coal industry and textile industry, the college has trained a large number of engineering and management talents for local and industrial development, and has formed distinctive school running characteristics in school running practice. The school running level and education quality have been widely recognized by all sectors of the society. The college is located in Longhu Town, Xinzheng City, Zhengzhou, the hometown of Xuanyuan. There are Tongbai Road Campus and Nanyang Road Campus in Zhengzhou city. The campus covers a total area of 2668 mu, with a construction area of more than 500000 square meters. All the buildings are in line with the modern school running standards. The Lakeside Park, leisure landscape, green belt and modern buildings in the school are well arranged, and the scenery is pleasant. It is an ideal garden for students to pursue further study. At present, the college has more than 23000 students, with a total of 27 undergraduate majors and 41 junior college majors. It has formed a school running pattern of focusing on work and study, combining work with management, and coordinating the development of Humanities and Social Sciences, and formed seven major groups of light industry and textile, electrical information, machinery, environmental safety, geology and mining, business administration, art, etc. There are more than 1023 full-time teachers, including 343 professors and associate professors. 648 people have doctor's or master's degrees. The college has perfect teaching facilities with a total value of 90.28 million yuan of teaching instruments and equipment. The library has 1.511 million paper books and 1900gb e-books. There are 128 on campus laboratories, one affiliated teaching practice factory, 164 stable off campus practice and training bases, as well as multimedia demonstration room, computing center, practice workshop, gymnasium, indoor swimming pool, stadium and student activity center. The college attaches great importance to the employment of graduates and opens up employment channels. We have established cooperative relations with nearly 100 well-known enterprises in China and built a graduate employment platform. Every year, we regularly organize graduate supply and demand meetings, and have established employment bases all over the country. We have provided a large number of professionals for Foxconn Technology Group, Youngor, Haier, Gree, Aluminum Corporation of China, Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Co., Ltd., Suzhou Dior Catering Management Co., Ltd. and many other enterprises. In 2010, the employment rate reached 96.2%. The good school running environment and conditions have laid a solid foundation for the further construction and development of the college.
