Shihezi University is located in Shihezi City, Xinjiang, which has won the "Dubai Award for the best example of human settlements improvement of the United Nations". The university has a history of 65 years. It is a key construction University of the national "211 Project" and a key construction University of the western part of the country. It is now jointly built by the Ministry of education and Xinjiang production and Construction Corps. With Peking University as the leader, Huazhong University of science and technology, East China University of science and technology and Huazhong Agricultural University as the deputy leaders, and Chongqing University, Jiangnan University, University of foreign economic relations and trade, Nanjing Normal University and South China Agricultural University as the members, the University team supports Shihezi University. The predecessor of Shihezi University was born in September 1949 when the Chinese people's Liberation Army marched into Xinjiang. In April 1996, Shihezi agricultural college, Shihezi Medical College, BINGTUAN normal college and BINGTUAN Economic College under the Ministry of agriculture were merged and established. In the long course of running a school, the university has always shared the same breath and destiny with the motherland.
