The new campus of Chaoyang teachers college is located in Longshan, Chaoyang City, with beautiful scenery. Its predecessor was Chaoyang Teachers College approved by Liaoning Provincial People's Government in 1960. It was adjusted and suspended from 1962 to 1977. In 1977, it was approved by Liaoning Provincial Education Bureau to set up Chaoyang teachers' class of Liaoning first normal college. In 1981, it was officially established by the State Council. In 1990, it was officially established in Chaoyang City In 1993, it was renamed Chaoyang normal college by the State Education Commission. In 2001, Chaoyang first normal school and Chaoyang workers University were merged. In 2008, it was newly built at the current school site. Since its reconstruction in 1981, Chaoyang Teachers College has been undertaking the task of training teachers of basic education in Chaoyang City and its surrounding areas, with a total of 16767 full-time college graduates. The school has 13 teaching units, 12 normal education majors such as Chinese education, English education and physics education, and 19 higher vocational majors such as advertising design and production, computer application technology and preschool education, covering seven university disciplines such as literature, science, law, engineering, history, education and management. In 2008, 11 provinces (autonomous regions) were enrolled. The major of advertising design and production has been established as the national pilot major of teaching reform in Higher Vocational Colleges and the model major of Liaoning Province.
