Zhongshan vocational and technical college is a full-time private college approved by Jiangsu Provincial People's government and Ministry of education in 1998. The college is located at the foot of Zijin Mountain in the eastern suburb of Nanjing, the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties. Shanghai Nanjing Expressway, Nanjing Erqiao expressway, Nanjing Hangzhou National Highway, Nanjing Ring Road and Metro Line 2, which will soon be completed and opened to traffic, meet and see off students from all over the world. Pan Chunlin, former Deputy Secretary General of Jiangsu Provincial People's government, is the party secretary of the college, and Professor Zhu aiqiang, former vice president of Nanjing Institute of technology, is the president. In December 2006, the college passed the national assessment of talent training in Higher Vocational Colleges with good results. At present, the college covers an area of 638 mu, with nearly 8000 students in 43 majors of 10 departments (colleges).
