Hangzhou Medical College

Zhejiang Medical College is a full-time college approved by the Ministry of education. The university is under the leadership and management of Zhejiang Provincial People's government and jointly constructed by the Provincial Department of education and the Provincial Department of health to cultivate higher applied talents in medicine and health.

The school, formerly known as the provincial women's obstetrics school, was founded in 1925. Later, it went through Hangzhou health school, Hangzhou Medical College and Hangzhou health school in Zhejiang Province. In 1975, it established Zhejiang health school. In 1999, it planned to establish Zhejiang medical vocational and technical college. In 2004, it officially established Zhejiang Medical College with the approval of the Ministry of education. Guided by the scientific outlook on development, the University actively adapts to the strategic requirements of strengthening the province of education and health, promotes the spirit of "seeking truth and fraternity", and cultivates health vocational and technical talents for the grassroots, striving to form a medical talent training system with coordinated development of multiple majors and simultaneous development of medical and medical vocational and technical education, so as to become a university with collaborative development of teaching, scientific research and social services, with distinctive features Ming Dynasty is an influential medical college in and out of the province.

The school is located at No. 481, binwen Road, Binjiang Higher Education Park, Hangzhou, covering an area of 217 mu, with a building area of 110000 square meters and more than 5000 students. The school has first-class facilities for teaching, scientific research, practical training, books, administration, sports and campus network, and has a collection of more than 500000 books. It has 11 specialties, including clinical medicine, stomatology technology, pharmacy, nursing, medical inspection technology, medical imaging technology, health inspection and quarantine technology, health information management, health supervision, public health management and rehabilitation treatment technology, among which medical imaging technology is the key specialty of higher education in Zhejiang Province.

The school has a strong faculty, with 49% of teachers with senior titles and 46% of teachers with master's degree or above. It has experts enjoying special allowance from the State Council, young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions from Zhejiang Province, 151 talents from Zhejiang Province, famous teaching teachers of colleges and universities in Zhejiang Province, high-level innovative talents of health in Zhejiang Province, and professional leaders of Higher Vocational Colleges in Zhejiang Province. At the same time, a group of well-known experts in Hangzhou universities, medical and health units and disease control institutions were employed as visiting professors, part-time teachers and members of the professional Steering Committee.

The school has 12 training bases in clinic, nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, health information, medical imaging and prosthodontics. As an affiliated hospital of our university, it has 6 non affiliated hospitals, 62 teaching hospitals and 44 teaching bases all over the province.

Relying on our school, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Health established Zhejiang rural health research center to carry out the research on the construction of rural health service system and medical security system in the whole province. Through the technical analysis of relevant work and the evaluation of implementation effect, it guided the reform of school personnel training mode. Relying on the Ministry of health, the Ministry of information industry and other vocational skills appraisal centers, we carried out vocational training in five categories and eight levels, and organized Zhejiang nursing professional skills competition to improve students' vocational skills. In recent years, school graduates are welcomed by employers, and the employment rate of graduates is more than 97%.

The university has actively carried out cooperation and exchanges with relevant foreign universities, established friendly cooperative relations with Indianapolis University and Fatima Medical University in the Philippines, and carried out academic, cultural and teaching exchanges.

The university has won one second prize of national higher education teaching achievement, one first prize of Zhejiang higher education teaching achievement, three science and technology progress awards of Zhejiang Province and eight science and technology awards of department and bureau level. The school has 5 national and provincial excellent courses of pharmacology, and undertakes 14 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects.

In recent years, the school has won the honorary titles of "model staff home" in China, "civilized unit" in Zhejiang Province, "safe campus" in Zhejiang Province, and "advanced school running according to law" in Zhejiang Province.
