Shijiazhuang Railway Vocational and technical college is located in Shijiazhuang City, the capital of Hebei Province. It is a provincial public full-time ordinary university with fine tradition, and one of the 100 model higher vocational colleges that the state focuses on.

The college was founded in September 1950, formerly known as the Department of financial materials of the Railway Engineering College of the Chinese people's Liberation Army; it was incorporated into the Ministry of Railways in January 1984, and changed into the technical secondary school of Shijiazhuang Railway College in June of the same year; it was rebuilt into Shijiazhuang Railway Engineering School in January 1993, and ran independently in January 1994, and was subordinate to China Railway Construction Corporation; In July 2000, it was upgraded to Shijiazhuang Railway Engineering Vocational and technical college; in September 2003, it became more current; in August 2005, it was transferred to Hebei Provincial People's government for management. In October 2007, it was approved as the construction unit of the National Model Higher Vocational College. In May 2010, it passed the acceptance with excellent results and was determined as the National Model Higher Vocational College.
