Yangtze River College of Donghua University of technology is an independent college of general undergraduate course, which is established in Nanchang campus of Donghua University of technology in 2002 with the approval of the Ministry of education, relying on the high-quality education and teaching resources of Donghua University of technology with a 61 year history. It is an independent college of engineering, combining science and engineering, and integrating economics, management, arts, law and teaching. In order to make better use of the original high-quality teaching resources of Donghua University of technology and ensure the improvement of teaching quality, it was adjusted to the Fuzhou campus of Donghua University of technology in 2010. This year, it will enroll 1815 students from 30 provinces and cities in China.

Donghua University of science and technology was founded by the former Ministry of nuclear industry of China in 1956. After the reform of the management system of the national military academies in 1999, it was jointly built by the Ministry of industry and information technology of the people's Republic of China, the State Administration of science, technology and Industry for national defense, China National Nuclear Industry Corporation and the people's Government of Jiangxi Province. It is a multi-disciplinary comprehensive university with the characteristics of Geology and nuclear science.

At present, there are more than 7000 students in Changjiang College of Donghua University of technology. This year, 26 undergraduate majors are enrolled, ranking among the top 100 independent colleges in China. In the comprehensive evaluation of undergraduate majors in Colleges and universities in Jiangxi Province, accounting, financial management, Chinese International Education and other majors won the first place of 13 independent colleges in Jiangxi Province; mechanical engineering, electronic information engineering, automation and other majors ranked second; marketing ranked third; computer science and technology, Japanese ranked fourth.

The college has a high-quality and high-level teaching staff. The main teachers come from the school headquarters. There are 493 teachers, including 120 professors and associate professors. Now it has 92 laboratories, 1 Engineering Training Center and 39 off campus practice bases, equipped with complete professional equipment. The college library has a rich collection of books, including more than 700000 paper books, 1.5 million e-books and 16 electronic literature databases. Garden campus has experimental building, indoor gymnasium, campus network and other supporting learning facilities.

Changjiang College of Donghua University of technology pays attention to the comprehensive quality education of students. Students have achieved good results in various national and provincial competitions, and won the first prize in the national writing competition; the National Silver Award in the national youth entrepreneurship competition in 2016; the national Bronze Award in the "Boer Cup" maker competition; the national Bronze Award in the "Challenge Cup" College Students' Entrepreneurship plan competition; and the National Gold Award in the "Challenge Cup" College Students' Entrepreneurship plan competition; "Challenge Cup" National College Students' extracurricular academic and technological works competition national third prize; FLTRP Cup National English Debate Contest southeast district champion, and won the title of Beijing finals best debater; National English competition second prize, third prize, national mechanical innovation design competition second prize, in recent years, won the first prize and second prize in the national mathematical modeling competition; 2015 National English competition non English group (Jiangxi division) special prize, 2014 Jiangxi undergraduate surveying and mapping skills competition first; participated in the National Industry Association held accounting skills competition, fashion design skills competition, tourism professional skills competition, information technology knowledge competition and surveying and mapping skills competition, a total of 4 first prize, 10 second prize, 13 third prize good results.

Changjiang College of Donghua University of technology attaches great importance to the employment of graduates. It has established a joint employment guidance service system, carried out employment and entrepreneurship education in the whole process, actively explored the employment market and broadened employment channels, and established 68 practice and employment bases in the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Fujian Delta and other regions. The college was awarded excellent units of Jiangxi Provincial Department of education in 2010-2012 and 2013-2015.
