Longqiao College of Lanzhou business university was established in March 2000 with the approval of Gansu provincial government. It is the first batch of full-time ordinary undergraduate independent colleges confirmed by the Ministry of education. Enrollment is included in the national college enrollment plan, and students' graduation and employment enjoy the same qualification and treatment as those of state-run colleges and universities.

At present, there are 12538 full-time undergraduates and 895 teaching staff. There are 9 departments and 4 teaching departments in economy and trade, finance, law, foreign language and literature, art and design, civil engineering, information engineering, business administration and accounting. There is a provincial experimental teaching demonstration center and a key (cultivation) laboratory in Colleges and universities of Gansu Province; there are six disciplines, involving economics, management, law, literature, engineering, art, etc., and there are 42 undergraduate majors (including professional direction), forming a discipline structure with management and economics as the main body and law, literature, art, engineering and other disciplines supporting each other.

The college is located in Heping Economic Development Zone of Lanzhou City, with a campus area of 417000 square meters (625.64 mu), a construction area of more than 180000 square meters, and a collection of 1044000 books (including 1331.2gb e-books).

The college implements the innovation and entrepreneurship education plan, which lays the foundation for cultivating students' independent innovation consciousness, enhancing students' practical ability, promoting students' personality development and improving students' comprehensive quality.
