Jiangxi College of traditional Chinese medicine is one of the earliest colleges of traditional Chinese medicine in China. It is also a new characteristic college built by the State Administration of traditional Chinese medicine and the only College of traditional Chinese medicine in Jiangxi Province. Its predecessor is Jiangxi Fuzhou School of traditional Chinese medicine, which was founded in 1986. In 2004, it was upgraded to a higher vocational school. The school is located in the hometown of Wang Anshi, the "11th century reformer" and Tang Xianzu, the "Oriental Shakespeare", and the birthplace of Minjiang medicine and Jianchang gang.
