Lianyungang Teachers College

Lianyungang normal college is a full-time ordinary college approved by the Ministry of education in March 2000. It is a combination of the former Lianyungang Institute of education, Haizhou normal school and Lianyungang normal school (Lianyungang Economic Management Cadre school was merged in 2002). In 2011, Lianyungang campus of Jiangsu Normal University was established in cooperation with Jiangsu Normal University (formerly Xuzhou Normal University). Since the founding of the predecessor of our school, the eighth Provincial Normal University, in 1914, our school has a history of nearly one hundred years. It has trained more than 40000 people's teachers who are committed to the cause of basic education in Northern Jiangsu and even in the whole country. A large number of education experts, famous teachers and backbone teachers have emerged, such as famous psychologist Professor Zhu Zhixian, famous educator Professor Liu Baichuan, academician of Chinese Academy of engineering, Professor Hekou coast Our school is the birthplace of the first party organization in the sea area, and its founder Li overtime has developed many party members among the teachers and students, such as LV Jiying, the first female Communist Party member in our city, Hui Yuyu, the former governor of Jiangsu Province, Chen Weida, the former deputy secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. The school covers an area of 816600 square meters, with a planned construction area of 400000 square meters, 565 teaching staff, more than 8000 full-time students (490 undergraduates), 634800 paper books and 25 databases. The school has been rated as a provincial and municipal civilized unit for many times. It has successively won the national advanced unit of art education, national model unit of greening, national "May 4th" red flag Youth League founding unit, harmonious campus of universities in Jiangsu Province, civilized school of Jiangsu Province, advanced collective of Education discipline inspection and supervision in Jiangsu Province, advanced collective of moral education in Jiangsu Province, safe and civilized campus of Jiangsu Province, and excellent continuing School of Jiangsu Province Education base, Jiangsu Province legal publicity and education advanced unit and other honorary titles. In recent years, the actual employment rate of graduates is more than 95%, and the satisfaction rate of employers is more than 90%. The moral education brand of "poetry educator" won the third prize of "excellent achievements of national campus culture construction" and the school won the title of "national advanced unit of poetry education". At present, there are 424 full-time teachers, including 42 with senior titles and 194 with deputy senior titles. The proportion of full-time teachers with senior titles is 55.7%. At present, there are 16 doctors and 220 masters. 55.7% of full-time teachers have master's degree or above. Five of them have won the Zeng Xianzi Teacher Award, one of them is a provincial famous teacher, eight of them have been selected into the provincial "333" talent training project, 13 of them have been selected into the provincial "Blue Project" of colleges and universities, and 15 of them have been selected into the "521" talent training project of Lianyungang City. At present, there are 37 majors and 10 majors jointly recruited with Xuzhou Normal University. A professional pattern with primary school education and preschool education as the main features and culture and art, tourism management as the regional advantage specialty group has been initially formed. Five majors such as Chinese education were rated as provincial characteristic majors, five courses such as Chinese teaching theory were rated as provincial excellent courses, two experimental training bases such as tourism management and biochemical pharmacy were rated as provincial experimental training bases, one provincial excellent teaching team and one talent training model innovation base. The university has established cooperative school running and academic exchange relations with Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other countries. There are three foreign cooperative school running majors, including preschool education major (Sino Canadian cooperation), computer multimedia technology major (Sino Canadian cooperation) and customs declaration and international freight transportation major (Sino Korean cooperation). In recent years, through the implementation of the scientific research orientation of "directional classification", we continue to maintain the steady growth of the number of scientific research achievements, focus on improving the overall level of scientific research, build a scientific research team, and strive to establish a menu service-oriented scientific research system. As a result, the advantages of normal education research and the characteristics of rural education research have been strengthened, and we have successively established "rural education research", "preschool education research" and "rural education research"《 Children's culture journal and other professional internal journals for rural education. In the past five years, it has published nearly 500 papers in core journals. All teachers and students are working with the enthusiasm of respecting industry and enjoying the masses, adhering to reform and innovation, scientific development, and working with full confidence to build the university into an ordinary undergraduate university based in Lianyungang, facing the coastal and Longhai, serving the grassroots and rural areas.
