Yili Normal University

Yili Normal University is a full-time Normal University established in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Its predecessor was Xinjiang Provincial Yili college, which was established in 1948. In May 1980, it was approved by the State Council as an undergraduate college and renamed Yili Normal University. Since its founding nearly 60 years ago, the college has carried forward the motto of "quality, learning and practice", and gradually formed a pattern of coordinated development of literature, science, law, economy, education, history, engineering and management. The college has two campuses, 18 colleges (departments), 27 undergraduate majors, 3 master's degree authorization points and 19 specialty. The college covers an area of 1602 mu, and another 2500 mu of land is used as reserve teaching development land and 2000 mu of school run farm. At present, the college has 1322 teaching staff, 646 full-time teachers, including 236 full-time teachers with senior titles. The college has nearly 10000 full-time ordinary undergraduate and junior college students, and more than 5000 adult undergraduate and junior college students. The college enrolls students from 28 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government, and also recruits international students throughout the year. The library has 840000 books and 220000 e-books. "The cradle of talents at the foot of Tianshan Mountain, Yili riverside education school" has become the reputation of Yili Normal University from all walks of life.
