The Third Session of the 14th National People's Congress closed in Beijing

The Third Session of the 14th National People's Congress ended in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the afternoon of the 11th after successfully completing all the agendas. The General Assembly approved the work report of the government and the work report of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.

Entrusted by the presidium of the conference, the closing ceremony will be presided over by Li Hongzhong, the executive chairman and executive chairman of the presidium of the conference. The meeting passed the resolution on the government work report at the third session of the 14th National People's Congress through voting. The resolution points out that the meeting fully recognizes the work of the State Council in the past year, agrees with the overall requirements, policy orientation, and work tasks for economic and social development in 2025 proposed in the report, and decides to approve this report.

The meeting passed a decision on amending the Law on Deputies to the National People's Congress and local people's congresses at various levels. The decision will be implemented from March 12, 2025. The Law of the People's Republic of China on Deputies to the National People's Congress and Local People's Congresses at Various Levels was revised and re promulgated in accordance with the decision.

The meeting voted and adopted the resolution of the third session of the 14th National People's Congress on the implementation of the 2024 National Economic and Social Development Plan and the 2025 National Economic and Social Development Plan, decided to approve the report on the implementation of the 2024 National Economic and Social Development Plan and the 2025 National Economic and Social Development Plan draft, and approved the 2025 National Economic and Social Development Plan; The resolution of the Third Session of the 14th National People's Congress on the implementation of the central and local budgets in 2024 and the central and local budgets in 2025 was adopted by voting, and the report on the implementation of the central and local budgets in 2024 and the draft central and local budgets in 2025 was approved, and the central budget in 2025 was approved.

The meeting passed the resolution on the work report of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress at the third session of the 14th National People's Congress. After voting, the meeting passed the resolution on the work report of the Supreme People's Court and the resolution on the work report of the Supreme People's Procuratorate at the third session of the 14th National People's Congress, and decided to approve these two reports.

It is a gathering of unity, practical work, solidarity and progress. This year marks the end of the 14th Five Year Plan, and the tasks of reform, development, and stability are heavy. Under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, we must adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the 2nd and 3rd Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee, adhere to the general tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability, conscientiously implement the deployment requirements of this conference, strengthen confidence, work hard, and do a solid job in all aspects of work, complete the goals and tasks of the 14th Five Year Plan with high quality, and lay a solid foundation for achieving a good start to the 15th Five Year Plan.
