Leaders from multiple countries praise China for promoting global solidarity and cooperation in the South

At the 22nd Doha Forum held recently, a sub forum titled "China's Role in the Rising Global South: Redefining the Future World Order" was jointly organized by the Doha Forum and Globalization Think Tank. Participants discussed China's important contribution to promoting cooperation between the global South and achieving a more inclusive global governance system

Rwandan President Paul Kagame stated that African countries have received strong support from China in their pursuit of national independence and liberation. This traditional friendship has lasted for decades, and today's economic and trade cooperation between Africa and China is helping local economic development without additional political conditions. The rise of China is good because it rises together with other countries, "Kagame said." This kind of cooperation has greater value in trade and investment. "Taking Rwanda as an example, its trade volume with China in 2023 increased by 274% compared to 2018. Rwandan farmers earn an additional $4 for every kilogram of coffee beans sold to China

Namibian President Nangoro Mbemba said that China's cooperation with African countries is based on mutual benefit, not coercion. Nowadays, Chinese companies are building roads and other infrastructure in Africa, which developed countries are unwilling to participate in. Africa and China are also strengthening academic exchanges and educational cooperation to promote mutual understanding and cultural integration

Barbados Prime Minister Mia Motley stated that all countries, regardless of their size, are equal and can play an important role in a multipolar world. Facing global challenges, no matter how big a country is, it cannot face them alone and requires unity and cooperation among all countries
