Perennial herbs, 25-50 cm high. Tuber long elliptic, fleshy, white, often 2, different in size, with sparse fibrous roots. Stem erect. Single leaf alternate, 5-7 pieces, lanceolate or ovate lanceolate, apex acuminate, base with sheath embracing stem, dark green above, green below. Spikes terminal. Flowers small and dense, outside 3 pale yellow green, inside 3 white.
