[plant morphology] Hosta

Perennial herbs, up to 60-70 cm in height. The rhizome is stout. Leaf blade ovate, 16 cm long, apex acute, entire or slightly undulate, base cuneate, both sides extending down to the base of petiole, upper dark green, glossy, lower green, veins about 7 pairs, arc-shaped, protruding and obvious. The scape is about 60 cm long, with leaflike membranous bracts in the middle of the scape; raceme, short peduncle, 1 cm long, 1 oblique ovate bract at the base of peduncle, green; perianth 6, light purple, bell shaped, 1.7 cm long, apex 6-lobed, lobes triangular; stamen 6, filament slightly longer than perianth, anther reddish purple; ovary sessile, oblong tubular, 3-locular, style shorter than filament Stigma capitate. Capsule, tubular, apical, ca. 3 cm long. Seeds black, glossy. The flowering period is June. The fruit ripens from August to September.
