[animal form] Bi (Book of songs), also known as black eared Kite and eagle.
Body length about 65 cm. The mouth is black with yellowish green wax film and base of lower mouth. The iris is dark brown. The surface of the upper body including two wings is a few pure dark brown, and each feather on the head and back neck has a dark brown trunk, with brown white on both sides. The ear feathers are dark brown. The chin and throat are white, the feather tip is brown, and the feather trunk is black brown. The primary feather is dark brown, with a large white spot at the base, which is easy to recognize when flying. The tail is forked; the tail feather is dark brown, slightly with dark brown transverse spots, especially in the inner part. The tip of the feather is narrow, with brown white. The chest, upper abdomen and flanks are dark brown, and the feather trunk is also dark brown; the rest of the lower body is gray brown with dark brown longitudinal lines. The feet are grayish yellow and the claws are black.
It is often found in the vicinity of cities and villages. When it's sunny, I often fly alone in the sky. Most of the nests are in high trees. It mainly feeds on rodents and occasionally attacks poultry. It has been distributed all over the country several times and stayed all the year round.

[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoction, 1-2; or grinding powder. External use: grind and sprinkle.
[prescription selection] ① for infantile convulsion: Iris claws, buffalo horn powder, scorpion, cinnabar, Coptis chinensis. Grind the powder and mix it with boiled water.
② Treatment of dizziness: Iris claws, Gastrodia elata, Ligusticum, pig brain. Take it by frying.
