[source] the tender leaves of Jatropha fordii (Euphorbiaceae). Please refer to "tung oil tree" for plant morphology.
[function indications] detumescence and detoxification. For carbuncle, erysipelas, sore, chilblain, scabies, scald, dysentery.

④ Treatment of scald: mash the fresh tung oil leaves, grind the juice, and apply the honey to the affected area.

[clinical application] treatment of dysentery and enteritis
Take the dried product and add water, decoct it twice with slow fire, combine and concentrate the liquid into extract, add Dijin powder (through 80 mesh sieve) and mix well to make granules. After drying, add magnesium stearate and press tablets. Each tablet weighs 0.5g (including about 2G of tung oil leaf crude drug). Take 4-6 tablets three times a day. Among 28 cases of dysentery, 21 cases were cured, 6 cases improved and 1 case ineffective; among 292 cases of enteritis, 252 cases were cured (86.3%), 24 cases improved (8.2%) and 16 cases ineffective (5.5%).
