[plant morphology] Lycopodium selaginellum
Perennial herbs, 10-30 cm high. Stem erect or oblique, dichotomous branched. Leaf blade spirally inserted; linear lanceolate, apex acuminate, margin sometimes sparsely toothed or entire, hard; bud bud often occurs in axil of upper part of branching stick. There is no obvious sporangium spike; the sporangium is located in the leaf axils above the middle part of the stem, broad kidney shaped, wider than or equal to the sporophyll.
In Alpine coniferous forest or coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest. It is distributed in Shaanxi, Yunnan, Sichuan, Xinjiang and Northeast China.
