[clinical application] for the treatment of corneal diseases
Take 5g of snake bile (the species of snake has not been identified), dissolve it with 5-10 times of 95% alcohol to precipitate the protein, and filter it with filter paper; evaporate the filtrate in water bath until there is no alcohol smell, add proper amount of distilled water and 0.6g of sodium chloride to dissolve and filter, and then add distilled water to 100ml. Eye drops were given 3-4 times a day and once every 2 hours in some cases. Seven cases of various corneal diseases (corneal ulcer, superficial punctate keratitis, superficial diffuse keratitis, corneal pannus, etc.) were treated. The shortest treatment time was 8 days and the longest was 14 days. 3 cases were cured and 4 cases improved. In addition to its anti-inflammatory effect, this drug can also promote the absorption of corneal opacity. Therefore, it can make the inflammatory signs subside rapidly, reduce the corneal opacity and eliminate the infiltration. There was no side effect.
