[collection] in spring and autumn, it was collected in shallow sea sediment. After harvest, wash the sediment, boil it in boiling water, remove the meat and shell, and dry it in the sun.

[medicinal material] the shell is fan-shaped or triangular, and the left and right shells have the same shape, or the left shell is slightly larger than the right shell. It is 2.5-8 cm long and 2-6 cm wide. On the back, there are dozens of straight ridges, which radiate from the top to the surrounding. The ridges are obvious and are made of gray brown and white. The inner surface of the shell is milky white, smooth, and the upper edge has a corresponding depression with the rib, forming a prominent serration. It is hard and can be broken, with white section. There is no breath, and the taste is light. It is better to be neat, clean, without residual meat and sand.

It is mainly produced in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, Guangdong, Liaoning and other places.

[clinical application] treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcer

Take 5 liang of corrugate (calcined), 1 liang of licorice, grind fine powder, 10 g each time, 3 times a day, before meals. Or 20 grams each time, 20 minutes before the onset of rhythmic pain. After treatment of 124 cases, the shortest course of treatment was 20 days, the longest 56 days, 59 cases were cured, accounting for 47.58%. The cure standard is that the main symptoms disappear, occult blood is negative, the condition is stable after long-term observation, X-ray examination niche disappears or spherical deformation is stable before and after treatment. 48 cases were improved, accounting for 38.79%. Improvement refers to the basic disappearance or remission of symptoms, occult blood to negative or weak positive, X-ray examination niche shrinks or does not disappear, spherical deformation and instability. 17 cases were invalid, accounting for 13.71%. The total effective rate was 89.19%. In some cases, the pain can be relieved within 5 minutes. Generally, there are no side effects, and some cases have facial edema, hematuria, turbid urine and recurrence of urinary tract infection.
