Perennial herbs. Stem erect, angular, 30-60 cm high, with long stolon at the base. The lower part of the stolon has three leaflets, the apical leaf is the largest, and the upper part of the stolon is simple, with broad ovate and round leaves, heart-shaped at the base and shallow wavy at the edge; the leaves on the upright stem are pinnate compound leaves, and the apical leaflet is the largest.
