Evergreen woody vines, up to 15 meters long, smooth and glabrous. The vegetative branch is full of roots. Leaves opposite, thin leathery, elliptic oblong to lanceolate elliptic, 10-16 cm long and 3-6 cm wide, apex short pointed or acuminate, glabrous on the top, sparsely stellate hairs on the bottom, slightly undulate sparsely toothed on the whole or upper margin; petiole 1-3 cm long. Corymbose panicle terminal, 10-14 cm long; flowers aggregated, bisexual, white or greenish white; calyx often 5-lobed, lobes 3-angled; petals 5-ovate, coronoid at the top, whole flower abscission when open; stamens about 8-10, filaments curved wavy, 4-5 mm long; style stick shaped, 1 mm long, stigma 6-lobed, ovary inferior. Capsule gyrate, 2-3 mm long. Seeds oblong, 1 mm long, apex winged. The flowering period is from August to September, and the fruiting period is from October to November.
Born in the wild, often climbing on the cliff. It is distributed in Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, Guizhou, Guangdong and Taiwan.
