Evergreen semi creeping shrub with yellowish brown stellate hairs on new branches. The leaves are lanceolate, 3.5-11.5 cm long and 1-3.5 cm wide, apex acuminate, base heart-shaped, entire, smooth on the top and covered with light brown hairs on the bottom. Flowers axillary, single or paired; bracteoles 2, linear lanceolate; calyx campanulate, 5-toothed, 5-ribbed, ca. 1.5 cm long, covered with light brown hairs; corolla funnel-shaped, 2.5 cm long, dark purple brown, hairy, 2-lipped, lower lip flattened, shorter, 3-lobed, upper lip wider and longer, 2-lobed; stamens 4, 2-strong, shorter than corolla: filament lower flat; style linear, stigma simple One.
