[nature and taste]: the leaves are slightly shrunk, and after flattening, the whole edge and the edge often curl inward. The upper surface is yellowish green or grayish green, with black round pits scattered; the lower surface is densely covered with reddish brown stellate hairs, and some lateral veins are covered with brown round dot sporangia. The petiole is tetragonal, 10-20cm long, 1.5-3mm in diameter, slightly twisted and longitudinally grooved. Leaves leathery. It is slightly astringent and bitter.
[plant morphology]: perennial herb, 30-60cm high. Rhizome stout, transverse, dense lanceolate scales, scales edge eyelashes. The leaves are of the same type, tufted, leathery, hairy or glabrous only along the veins, with fine and irregular pits on the top, and branched, short and broad yellow stellate hairs on the bottom; the petioles are stout, bearing on the rhizome by joints; the leaves are broad lanceolate, 20-40cm long and 3-5cm wide, acuminate to the top and slightly wider to the base, in unequal round ear shape; the lateral veins are slightly concave on both sides. The sporangia are small, arranged in many rows between the lateral veins, without cap.
