[plant morphology] frutescens tuberosum
Herbs perennial, erect or oblique. The root is thick and spindle tuberous; the underground stem is round, purple brown, with sparse short hairs. Root leaves with long petiole; leaf blade triangular ovate, base deep heart-shaped, leaf margin with coarse teeth, above scattered bristles or subglabrous, below scattered bristles; stem leaves opposite, ovate; petiole short, about 1 cm long, leaf margin dentate; veins reticulate. Cymes axillary; felted leaves linear lanceolate, densely setose; calyx tubular, 5-toothed, calyx teeth conical; corolla lip shaped, pink, densely covered with white long hairs, lower lip 3-lobed, middle lobe apex concave: stamen 4; pistil 1, style 2-lobed, unequal. Nutlets apically setose.
Born in grassland and riverside grass. It is distributed in Northeast, northwest and Inner Mongolia.
