[plant morphology] Huafeng car
Rattan shrub. Branchlets subsquare, grayish brown, densely covered with rust colored villi and orange yellow scales, glabrescent when old. Leaves nearly opposite, thin leathery, oblong, veins prominent below, densely pubescent. Spikes axillary; flowers small, white, heart with golden coarse hair. Fruit nearly round or pear shaped, winged 4, papery, with horizontal stripes, bright, red when ripe. It blooms in early summer.
It grows in the Bush at the foot of the mountain or in the bamboo forest near the village. It is distributed in Guangxi, Guangdong, Jiangxi and Hunan.

Functions and indications: Invigorating the stomach and expelling insects. To cure Ascaris lumbricoides and Trichuris.
[usage and dosage] oral: decoction, 3-5 yuan.
