Deciduous shrub, up to about 1 meter high. Yellow stellate pubescence was found in twigs, petioles and peduncles. Leaves opposite; leaves broadly ovate, ovate, 4-6 cm long, 2.5-4 cm wide, apex pointed, base rounded or broadly cuneate, margin sharply serrate, pale yellow stellate hairs on the lower veins; petioles 1-2 cm long. Cyme at the top of branch, peduncle of county head; many florets, several sterile flowers; calyx 5-lobed, persistent; petals 5, white; stamens 5; ovary 1-locular. The stone fruit is oval, blue black at maturity, and the flowering period is from April to May. The fruit ripens from August to September.
