[plant morphology] Anoectochilus roxburghii

Perennial herbs, 4-10 cm high. The rhizome is creeping. The stem node is obvious. The leaf is ovate, 2-5cm long and 1-3cm wide, with sharp apex and round base. There are small scaly protrusions on the top and dark red below. The veins of young leaves are golden yellow and orange red when they are old. Stem 4-5 cm long, with 2-3 flowers, bracts ovate lanceolate; flowers light red; middle sepal round, apex cuspidate, below long bristles, fused with petals into helmet; lateral sepal ovate oblong, oblique, outside long bristles; petals semiovate, oblique, 7 mm long, apex with 2 mm cuspidate, lower lip claw (stalk) 5-6 mm long, both sides torn, apex deep 2-lobed, lobes narrowly oblong, 5 mm long; distance from saccate triangle, 4 mm long, with 2 verrucous processes in front of base; stamens 1, oblong. The flowering period is from August to September. The fruit period is from September to October.

It grows in moist evergreen broad-leaved forest or bamboo forest. Distributed in Taiwan, Fujian and other places.

[clinical application] ① treatment of diabetes and cystitis

Take 2 money of Anoectochilus roxburghii, 1 liang of rock sugar, fried in water, take twice. Take it for 4-10 days. One case of diabetes and two cases of cystitis were treated. The symptoms disappeared after 1-2 weeks.

② Treatment of myasthenia gravis

Take Anoectochilus roxburghii 1 money, fried, twice a day. One case was cured after one month, and followed up for more than two years.
