[plant morphology] Blumea balsamifera
Herbs 1-2 years old, ca. 60 cm tall. Stem erect. Densely covered with long yellowish hairs. Single leaf alternate, elliptic, 2-4 cm long, 0.8-1.5 cm wide, apex slightly pointed, base cuneate, extending into petiole, leaf margin with spicules. Inflorescence in compact panicle; involucral bracts purplish red; flowers all tubular, purple. Achenes very small; sparsely hairy, with terminal white corolla.
Born in the ditch, ridge. It is distributed in southwest and south of China.
