[plant morphology] wawei

Herbs perennial, less than 20 cm tall. Rhizome slightly stout, transverse, densely covered with scales, with fibrous roots; scales dark brown or dark brown, thick, linear subulate, base broadly ovate. The leaf blade is linear lanceolate, 10-18 cm long and 1-1.5 cm wide, apex acuminate, base gradually narrow, leathery and thick, dark green on the top, scattered with small holes, light green on the bottom, raised middle rib, branches and veinlets reticulate, but hidden in the mesophyll. The upper part of the dorsal leaf of the sporangium group is round and large, yellow, juxtaposed on the side of the middle rib net, forming two longitudinal rows, and covered with shield like scales when young.
