Herbs annual, ca. 80 cm tall. The whole plant has villi. Stem tetragonal, much branched. Leaves opposite; ovate lanceolate, 3-5 cm long, margin coarsely toothed. Flowers white, whorled in leaf axils; corolla tube concealed in calyx, limb 2-lipped, upper lip short, erect, invaginated, villous, lower lip 3-lobed; stamens 4, raised; flowers backward, leaving many remaining calyx, honeycomb shaped. Nutlets ovate, obtuse.
Born in the village, roadside, wild grass. Distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan and other places.
