[plant morphology] Cichorium bracteatum
Perennial herbs, 10-20 cm high. The stem is erect, and the branches at the base are clustered. Leaves alternate, lanceolate, 5-8 cm long, 0.5 cm wide, entire, almost sessile. Inflorescence terminal, arranged into cymes; involucral bracts 2-layered; flowers yellow, bisexual, all composed of ligulate flowers, apex 5-toothed; stamens 5-toothed. Achene with many edges, 1 beak at the top, white unbranched hairs at the top of beak.
Born in the field, roadside. Distributed in Tibet, Guangxi, Zhejiang and other places.
[collection] harvest from July to August.
[taste] bitter, slightly cold.
