[plant morphology] Leontopodium chinense, also known as Leontopodium chinense.
The perennial roots are clustered herbs, 30-80 cm high, with dense flocculent hairs, short rhizomes and many fibrous roots. Stem erect, branched. The leaves are linear, 3-4 cm long and 0.2-0.6 cm wide. The base of the leaves is slightly clasped. The upper part is dark green, basically glabrous, and the lower part is densely covered with white woolly hairs. The flowers are small and white, with a ring of leaflike bracts. Achene, oblong, with yellow white hairs.
It grows in sparse forest and grass on hillside. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan.

It is pungent and cool.
Functions and indications: clearing away heat and toxin, diminishing inflammation and relieving pain. Treatment of tonsillitis, pharyngitis.
[usage and dosage] external use: Yanmo Chusan. Oral: Yanmo Weisan, 3-5 points.
