Middle aged leader
In the first month of the sixth year of the common people's Republic of China (525), the yuan FA monk, the governor of Xuzhou in the Northern Wei Dynasty, failed to revolt and asked to be attached to the Liang Dynasty in Pengcheng. Emperor Liang appointed Chen Qingzhi as general Wuwei, and Hu Longya and Cheng Jingjun led the Liang army to meet him. After returning to the army, Chen Qingzhi led 2000 troops to escort Xiao Zong, king of Yuzhang, into Xuzhou. In May, Yuan Yanming, the king of Anfeng, and Yuan Yu, the king of linhuai, led 20000 troops to resist. Yuan Yanming first sent Qiu Daqian, another general, to build a fortress in xunliang to watch Liang's army close to the border. Chen Qingzhi pushed his base and defeated it in the first World War. In June, Xiao left his troops and fled to the Northern Wei Dynasty. After daybreak, Liang Jun couldn't find Xiao Zong, but he heard Wei Jun saying outside the city, "your Yuzhang king came to our army last night. What else can you do?" So the Liang army broke up. The Wei army entered Pengcheng, took advantage of the victory to pursue the Liang army, recaptured the city that had been occupied before, and did not return until Suyu. Seven or eight out of ten Liang troops lost. Only Chen Qingzhi broke through and closed the door, retreated overnight, and the troops were saved.

Chen Qingzhi turned to the East Palace Zhige and was granted the title of Marquis of Guanzhong.
Battle in Guoyang
In October of the first year of Datong (527), Chen Qingzhi and the leading general Cao Zhongzong jointly attacked Guoyang (now Mengcheng, Anhui Province) in the Northern Wei Dynasty. At the same time, Xiao yanzhao, Emperor Wu of Liang Dynasty, joined forces with Cao Zhongzong and Wei Fang. At that time, the barracks of Wei Fang army had not been established, and Fei Mu, a cavalry official in the Northern Wei Dynasty, led the army to arrive suddenly. Wei Fang had only 200 soldiers, but the soldiers fought hard to defeat Fei Mu army. Emperor Wei Xiaoming sent General yuan Zhao to reinforce Guoyang with 150000 troops, and the forward arrived at tuojian, 40 miles away from the city. Chen Qingzhi wants to fight, but Wei Fang thinks: "the enemy's forward troops must be elite troops. If they win in the battle, they will not be able to make achievements. On the contrary, if they lose in the battle, they will have a negative impact on our morale. This is the saying in the art of war that it is better not to attack with ease.". Chen Qingzhi said: "the soldiers of the Northern Wei Dynasty came from afar. I'm definitely tired by now. They are so far away from our army that they will not have doubts about our army. When their troops are not in order and their personnel are not gathered, they should be demoralized and surprise them. There is no reason not to win. Besides, I heard that the woods near the enemy's barracks are very lush, so they will not come out at night. If you have any worries, let me lead the attack on them alone. " So Chen Qingzhi led 200 cavalry under his command to attack the yuan Zhao army, breaking its former army, and the Wei army was terrified.
Chen Qingzhi took advantage of the victory and marched westward with the companies and battalions of the two armies. He stood against the Wei army with his back at Guoyang. The two armies fought for hundreds of times from spring to winter, and the soldiers were very tired. At this time, the news came that the Wei army was building barracks behind the Liang army's position, and the Liang army's morale was shaken. Cao Zhongzong and others were afraid of the enemy and wanted to withdraw. After hearing this, Chen Qingzhi set up a festival to fight at the army gate and said with great generosity: "it has been a year since we came here. The cost of military supplies and weapons is huge. The soldiers have no intention of fighting, and they all want to withdraw. How is it for fame? Just to get together and rob. I've heard that when you die, you need to wait for the enemy to get together and fight against it. If you want a headteacher, I have another secret edict. If you want a headteacher to violate the secret edict in a few days, you will be punished according to the secret edict. " Cao Zhongzong followed his advice.
At that time, the Wei army built 13 fortresses to control the Liang army. Under the cover of night, Chen Qingzhi sent out cavalry to attack the Wei army, and even conquered four barracks. Wang Wei, the commander of Guoyang garrison, came down to Liang with his city. The rest of the nine cities were full of armour. Wei Fang selected more than 30 people from the surrendered Wei army to release them and let them go back to the Wei army barracks to report the news of the collapse of Guoyang. At the same time, Chen Qingzhi led the army with the release of Wei Sergeant after death, beating drums and shouting attack. Under the fierce attack of the Liang army, the remaining nine castles of the Wei army were defeated one after another. The Liang army took advantage of the situation to pursue and defeat the Wei army. They captured and killed many people. The vortex water cut off the flow and sent more than 30000 people to the city. Emperor Wu of Liang ordered that West Xuzhou should be set up in the place of Guoyang. Liang Jun took advantage of the victory and went to Chengfu.
The northern expedition to the Northern Wei Dynasty
In the second year of Datong (528), civil strife occurred in the Northern Wei Dynasty, and ER zhurong, who suppressed the rebellion, slaughtered the royal family of the Northern Wei Dynasty.
Yuanhao, the king of the northern sea of Wei Dynasty, came down to Liang because of the chaos of his own dynasty, and asked Liang Dynasty to send troops to help him become emperor. For strategic reasons, Emperor Wu of Liang took Yuanhao as the king of Wei, and Chen Qingzhi as the general of Feijie and biaoyong. He led his troops to escort Yuanhao back to the north. Then Yuanhao became emperor in huanshui, and conferred Chen Qingzhi as envoy Chijie, general of Zhenbei, protector and former commander.
In March of the first year of zhongdatong (529), the Northern Wei army, led by Er zhurong and Yuan Tianmu, led its troops to the East.
During the northern expedition of Liang Dynasty, the army took advantage of Xu Jingjin to conquer Xing City and came to Suiyang.
In April of the first year of zhongdatong (529), Wei general Qiu Daqian led a crowd of 70000 to build nine cities to resist the Liang army. Chen Qingzhi led the army to attack and occupied three cities in one day, forcing Qiu Daqian to surrender. Hao Jin of the Yuan Dynasty was appointed General Chen qingzhiwei, governor of Xuzhou, and Duke of Wudu.
At that time, Wang Yuanhui of Jiyin in the Wei Dynasty led the Yulin army to come to kaocheng (now the northeast of civil rights in Henan Province). Kaocheng is surrounded by water and is well guarded. Chen Qingzhi ordered his men to build a fortress on the surface of the water, captured his city, annihilated 20000 people, captured yuanhuiye, and rented 7800 cars.
Liang's army went straight to Daliang, and Wei's army came down where they passed. In May, Ziyou, the Wei emperor, assigned his troops to guard Xingyang (now Henan) and Hulao (now Sishui Town, northwest of Xingyang) to defend Luoyang, the capital. After Yuan Hao conquered Liang state, he appointed Chen Qingzhi general Wei, governor of Xuzhou, and Duke of Wudu, and ordered him to continue to supervise the army to attack Xingyang in the West. Wei Zuo's servant Yang Yu, xi'e's Wang Yuanqing, and Fu's general yuan Xiangong led 70000 Yulin troops to defend Xingyang in order to resist Liang's army. The Wei army was very sharp, and the city of Xingyang was strong, so Chen Qing couldn't attack it. At that time, the general of the Wei Dynasty, Wang Yuantian mu, arrived. He sent his general Er zhutumeier (ER Zhuzhao) to lead Huqi 5000 and Lu an to lead xiazhou Buqi 9000 to reinforce Yang Yu. Zhu Shilong, a right footman, and the governor of West Jingzhou led 10000 cavalry troops to the tiger prison. The Wei army, with a total of 300000 people, encircled the Liang army. Yuanhao sent someone to persuade Yang Yu to surrender, but he was refused. Before long, Yuan Tianmu and ER zhutumeier came one after another, and the Wei army met each other for a time.
At this time, before Xingyang city was captured, Liang's soldiers were all panicked. Chen Qingzhi untied the saddle and fed the horses. He said to the soldiers, "since we came here, we have killed a lot of civilians. Yuan Tianmu's soldiers and we are enemies. We have only 7000 people and the enemy has more than 300000. Under such circumstances, they should not let us survive. We can't fight the enemy's cavalry on the plain. We should break through their fortresses. Don't doubt yourself, or you will die on the battlefield. " So he beat the drum to attack the city. Only once did he beat the drum, and all the Liang troops mounted the city wall. The warriors song Jingxiu and Yu Tianmin first boarded the city wall, and the Liang army entered one after another, so they captured Xingyang and captured Yang Yu.
Soon after, Yuan Tianmu and others led the army to besiege the city. Chen Qingzhi led 3000 elite soldiers to fight against the city and broke yuan Tianmu's siege. Lu an surrendered before the battle. Yuan Tianmu and ER
