In 1656, Emperor Shunzhi gave a reply to Chen Zhilin: "I didn't care about your previous mistakes, and I still use them. I warned you many times that you should reflect on your words and deeds carefully. Have you made any improvement recently?" Chen Zhilin hastily played: "the emperor teaches me a lesson, but I dare not change it. It's just that I don't have enough talent and knowledge, and I have many sins, and I can't repay my kindness. " After hearing this, Wei Yijie, the censor of zuodou, immediately impeached Chen Zhilin: "when the emperor questioned him, he didn't talk about his secret of forming a party, and tried to wash himself in order to become a kind person. However, he was not able to report his talent and learning, which showed that he had no conscience." Wang Zhen was also impeached: "Chen Zhilin was a CI minister who was dismissed from his post in the previous dynasty and never used words. He was promoted to minister of state and entered the government a few years later. But he didn't want to serve the emperor. Facing the emperor's rebuke, he didn't want to reflect on himself. Instead, he traveled to Lingyou palace the next day. He was free and unbridled, and his crimes were beyond punishment At that time, the emperor ordered Chen Zhilin to play back according to the actual situation, and ordered the lower part to investigate and discuss, prepare for dismissal, and never use it.
