Image of romance
The description of Han Xuan in the romance of the Three Kingdoms is that "Han Xuan, the governor of Changsha, was impatient in his life, lighter than killing, and everyone was evil.". When Guan Yu was fighting in Changsha, Han Xuan blamed Huang Zhong for not being able to cooperate with the enemy, which caused Wei Yan's dissatisfaction. He killed Han Xuan, saved Huang Zhong and surrendered to Guan Yu.
It is said that Wei Yan chased and killed Han Xuan, the prefect of Changsha, in the city. Han Xuan fled north from the south city wall, took off his boots in two alleys and swung them in other directions to confuse Wei Yan. Wei Yan saw through the mystery of Han Xuan taking off his boots and finally assassinated him. Later generations named these two Alleys "South daotuo boots" and "West daotuo boots".
There is an ancient lane named "Cixian Lake" in Changsha today. It is said that it is a small lake in Changsha. It was named after the place where Wei Yan assassinated Han Xuan.
Han Xuan's historical records are not many, and it is not so unbearable as described in the romance of the Three Kingdoms.
