Hou Ziqiang
Hou Zhiqiang is named after Hou Ziqiang, a researcher of the Institute of acoustics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He once served as Secretary General of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, researcher and deputy director of the Institute of acoustics. In the development of sonar equipment in China, we have made contributions to the application of digital signal processing technologies such as digital multi beam forming, adaptive wave velocity forming, high-resolution time delay meter and the development of digital sonar. He has successively presided over the design and development of sound ray trace instrument, sound field simulation calculation device, inshore integrated sonar, sound velocity sound ray instrument, adaptive wave velocity forming computer, etc. Author of "sonar signal processing principle of equipment.". In addition, the first vice chairman of the CPPCC in Henan Province was also called Hou Ziqiang.
Personal resume
1955-1958 Department of physics, Peking University; 1958-1964 researcher and assistant researcher of Institute of electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; 1964-1984 assistant researcher, associate researcher and researcher of Institute of acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; 1985-1988 Deputy Secretary General of Chinese Academy of Sciences. 1988-1993, Secretary General of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and director of the information consulting center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. From 1993 to 1997, he was the director of the Institute of acoustics. He retired in 1997. from 1992 to 2005, he served as the chairman of Shenzhen Kejian group and China Kejian Co., Ltd. former chief scientific consultant of China Netcom, senior consultant of SARFT and senior consultant of government informatization in Shanghai and Shenzhen. He is now the chief scientist of Beijing Institute of acoustic science and technology
Main achievements
Since the late 1950s, he has been engaged in the research of acoustics and signal processing. In the 1960s, he presided over the design of China's first inshore integrated sonar, actively promoted the adoption of new digital signal processing technology in sonar, and in the 1970s, he presided over the development of beamforming computer. In the 1980s, he presided over the development of submarine integrated sonar. The above research has won the National Science Conference award, the first prize of the Academy of Sciences and the national science and technology progress award. During his tenure as Secretary General of the Chinese Academy of Sciences from the 1980s to the 1990s, he devoted himself to the reform of science and technology system and promoted the establishment and development of China's high-tech industry. In the mid-1990s, he returned to the forefront of scientific research, closely followed the international cutting-edge technology, and actively advocated digital technology, broadband communication technology and information consumer electronics in China. In 1994, he founded the digital signal processing engineering center (DSP Center) in the Institute of acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, specializing in the development of digital consumer electronics, new network communication equipment and other technologies, and successively developed VCD, DVD, digital TV, Internet data broadcasting, multi-function set-top box and other products. Since 1997, it has taken the lead in promoting the construction of information infrastructure with broadband IP network technology in China. In February 1999, on behalf of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other units, he reported to the State Council the proposal to implement the "China high speed Internet demonstration project". This proposal was officially approved by the State Council, and China Netcom was established for construction and operation. In recent years, Hou Ziqiang has been engaged in the research of network communication development strategy, published a series of papers, proposed the development of broadband IP man, Ethernet access network and new 3G broadband wireless mobile Internet, which are suitable for China's national conditions, and promoted the development of broadband network in China. Hou Ziqiang is both a scientist and a successful entrepreneur. He founded the first high-tech company of China Kejian Co., Ltd. to be listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and the first high-tech company of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Kejian broke the embargo in the 1980s, developed and produced Kangfa integrated circuit design workstation to equip the domestic design department, and then produced China's first nuclear magnetic resonance instrument in medical equipment. In 1998, Hou Ziqiang seized the opportunity and decided to produce mobile phones by China Kejian company. In 1999, Kejian mobile phones took the lead in entering the market with its own brand and became a major domestic mobile phone manufacturer. Hou Ziqiang was the director of the Institute of acoustics from 1993 to 1997. He also served as the chairman of Shenzhen Kejian group of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the chairman of China Kejian Co., Ltd. However, it was opposed and resisted by the founders and actual operators of the acoustic Institute Company, and finally failed. After that, Hou Ziqiang was accused of taking advantage of his position as the director of the acoustic Institute at that time to avenge public and private interests, taking measures such as suspension inspection and financial audit to persecute the person in charge of the acoustic Institute who held a boycott and opposition attitude at that time. These events have been fermenting in the Institute of acoustics for many years and have not been solved effectively. These stains of waiting for self-improvement also cast a shadow on his personal image.
