Cai zhikan
Cai zhikan (1888-1955) was born in houni Town, Miaoli County, Taiwan in 1888. Shortly after he was born, Taiwan was ceded to Japan during the Sino Japanese War of 1894-1895, and suffered from the pain of national subjugation since childhood. As an adult, he went to Japan to do business, set up Cai Fengyuan's import and export business in Tokyo, owned coffee and rubber plantations in Nanyang, and sailed all over the country, becoming a big businessman. However, Cai zhikan loved his motherland and devoted himself to the revolution. In April 1928, Cai zhikan took advantage of the contradictions of the Japanese political parties at that time, bought them with a lot of money and mixed them into the Japanese royal library as a supplement worker. He transcribed and completed the memorials to Tanaka in two nights, and sent them to Northeast China several times. Wang Jiazhen, then Secretary of Zhang Xueliang, handed them over to Zhang Xueliang and submitted them to the national government. At the same time, he tried to publish them In Nanjing and Peiping, Japan's ambition to invade China was first exposed.
At the same time, Cai zhikan also exposed the conspiracy of Japanese imperialism in the huanggutun incident and the Wanbaoshan incident, and the theft of Japanese Navy ciphertext during the Anti Japanese war in Songhu on December 28. After the July 7th incident in 1937, Cai zhikan was unable to get a foothold in Tokyo, so he went back to Taiwan. In 1940, under the cover of business, Cai zhikan carried out Anti Japanese intelligence collection in Zhujiang, Guangzhou. Unexpectedly, Cai zhikan was found by the Japanese army and put in a Japanese prison in Taiwan.
On August 15, 1945, Japan announced its unconditional surrender. On October 25, after Taiwan's recovery, Cai zhikan was able to get out of prison, and wrote the seven laws of "Taiwan's recovery day home day": "he is full of money and can't do anything to help the world. When should we have Han Ou's pen. Only after drinking a glass of water, not benefit public and private half of the money. I advise you not to talk about Marquis affairs. The thin horse and the heavy load will be at a loss. "
After he was released from prison, Cai zhikan became a special member of the Kuomintang after Chen Lifu introduced him. On September 29, 1955, Cai zhikan died of illness in Taiwan. Chiang Kai Shek issued a commendation order for him. Yuan Laoyu, Youren, Yan Jiagan and other political figures of the Chinese Kuomintang sent Elegy and telegrams of condolence.
Profile
* * * * notorious repute influential man, Cai Zhikan, a patriotic businessman in Taiwan, is not a professional diplomat. But he has become the hero of the Republic of China's diplomatic history. He has exposed the notorious Tian Zhong Memorial memorials, and made Japanese militarists "conquer the world first, and the arrogant ambition to conquer the occupation" first.
Life story
Patriotic businessmen dedicated to the revolution
In 1913, when the "second revolution" took place, Cai zhikan once covered general Cai E's journey from Tokyo to Keelung, and then changed ships to go to Yunnan, making contributions to overthrowing the "Hongxian Empire". In 1924, at the request of Duan Qirui, Sun Yat Sen went north to discuss the truth of the country in order to unify China. At that time, the Japanese warlords were afraid and urged to send troops to obstruct. In order to find out the inside story, Cai told Sun Yat Sen to be on guard, and carried out activities in Japan, cooperating with Sun Yat Sen's representative Li Liejun to persuade Japanese politicians, so that the disaster of war did not happen. Later, Li Liejun told him to pay more attention to the "Manchu Mongolian issue", and Cai established close ties with the local authorities in Northeast China. After Zhang zuolin was killed by Japan's bombing, Cai provided bomb fragments to the Northeast Foreign Affairs Committee to verify Japan's crimes. In the following years, he often reported to Zhang Xueliang the inside story of Japan's political situation he had collected purely voluntarily, so as to facilitate the Northeast authorities' foreign policy-making. Under the cover of doing business, Cai zhikan traveled extensively between Northeast China and Japan, mingled with high-level political figures, secretly engaged in Anti Japanese activities, and became a figure closely related to the Japanese royal family, high-level political officials, party leaders, and high-level military and political officials in Northeast China, creating conditions for him to undertake special missions.
Special mission granted by pancake parcel
One day in June 1928, Cai zhikan was having a banquet at home with Japanese congressman Masao Nakano and his party. Suddenly, he received a big pie parcel from Shenyang. After the banquet, he saw it and got a secret book written by Wang Jiazhen, the head of the Northeast Foreign Affairs Committee, in water pen: "it's said in Britain and the United States that Prime Minister Tanaka's memorial is of great interest to me. We should start with the plot as soon as possible, regardless of the cost. ”Wang Jiazhen is the contact between Zhang Xueliang and CAI zhikan. He is also an old friend of CAI. Whenever Wang goes to Tokyo, he falls into CAI Feng's business. At that time, the Japanese cabinet prime minister was yoshiichi Tanaka, the leader of the aggressive group of political friends, who successively held the Oriental conference and the Dalian conference, and actively planned to invade China by force. It is said that Tanaka wrote the results of the two meetings as memorials to the emperor. The main points are as follows: explaining Japan's positive and fundamental policy towards Manchuria and Mongolia, reorganizing the South Manchurian Railway Society as the institution of annexing Northeast China; putting forward the theory that Manchuria and Mongolia are not Chinese territory; rewarding the Koreans to immigrate to Manchuria and Mongolia and using it as a tool to occupy Manchuria and Mongolia; building a great circulation line of Manchuria and Mongolia railway for military purposes, including Surrounded by * * the center of the land, to take advantage of the military, political and economic development of China, to invade the Russian forces, to establish a large shipping association with Dalian as the center, to grasp the maritime transport and to dominate the Pacific Ocean, to change the way of operation of the Manchurian Rail Corp, to welcome all countries to invest in Manchu and Mongolia, to make use of foreign capital in Japan, to enhance the opportunity to seek for Manchu and Mongolia, and to establish a colonization Province, specializing in Japan. Frightful to the ear of Chinese vested interest and the vested interests, the most * * * * ualous core proposition is: "to conquer the world, we must conquer Chia first; to conquer Chia, we must conquer Manchu first." Because of the contradictions and differences between the political friends association headed by Tanaka and the opposition civil affairs party within the Japanese ruling group, these confidential information was spread and immediately attracted the attention of all countries. It is said that more than 2000 intelligence agents from various countries have gathered in Tokyo to explore the secret. The United States, Britain and the Soviet Union all spare no efforts to obtain it. Wang Zhengting, Minister of foreign affairs of the national government, once sent people to Harbin to invest 500000 yuan to buy it. In this context, Cai zhikan was deeply shocked by this mission. This is Japan's top secret. In case of failure, his life is in danger. But Cai agreed to try hard.
Scheme of winning Tanaka Memorial
After being ordered, Cai zhikan considered it over and over again and decided not to buy it by means of "espionage", because it would not only endanger his life, but also be in vain. He made a detailed analysis of the political situation in Japan, and found that the policy differences and fierce internal strife between the political friends association and the civil affairs party could be used. So he decided to use the civil affairs Party's opposition to Tanaka's radical policy of military invasion of China to persuade them to try to make this secret document public, so as to stop the action of the political friends association, which led to the downfall of the cabinet of the political friends association. It's a dangerous game. Later, Cai zhikan held banquets for former interior minister of the civil affairs party, bed Cizhu II, Current Foreign Minister Ryutaro Yongjing and former interior minister Shino Murano. At that time, the leaders of political parties in Japan were very poor. These people had close contacts with Tsai in money, and they were fond of opium and acanthopanax wine. Tsai was the only source of energy. Cai proposed to Yongjing that he take out Tanaka Memorial and publish it in Rihua magazine sponsored by Cai, which was rejected by Yongjin. In order to overthrow the political friends' Association, the Tsai family also advised the world that Tanaka's policy of occupying Manchuria and Mongolia by force would inevitably lead to the end of diplomatic relations between China and Japan, and both sides would lose. Bed time promised: "if you think it is necessary, I will ask for clues." A few days later, bed said: "the royalist Party (Huangdao faction) believes that Tanaka's policy of annexing Manchuria and Mongolia by force will eventually arouse the military revolution and endanger the emperor's family. It is eager to destroy Tanaka's policy. However, if the emperor or the elders directly intervene in Tanaka, it is necessary to cause the revolution of young soldiers. The elders are in a dilemma. I can take advantage of this opportunity to get a memorial from Tanaka. It is quite possible for me to succeed. Please prepare high-level Chinese food and Wujiapi wine for me to entertain the elders. " Cai took out 5000 yen and invited Cui, Mei Lanfang's old chef, to prepare the best dishes. He invited the elder to dinner in the bed second residence and explained the plan agreed by them. 6、 Seven days later, Shimono told me that if the Chinese government dares to show Tanaka's memorial to the world, the royalists can use British and American public opinion to prevent Tanaka from launching a military policy. If China can accept this, you are allowed to copy it. Cai immediately informed Wang Jiazhen of this opinion. Four or five days later, Wang Jiazhen telegraphed 5000 yuan, and a message said: "5000 yuan of hospital bed fee will be returned.". If the disease is to be treated in Europe and America, I will be responsible for it. " Muye was overjoyed at the telegram and said, "the throne can be preserved, and my old life can be extended.". Then he ordered his concubine, younger brother Yong, to make an appointment with the official of the imperial library at the foot of the mountain, and arranged for the Tsai family to come in at night to copy the memorials from Tanaka.
Breaking foot bridge at night
One night in June, Cai sneaked across the "broken foot bridge" and entered the palace. There are 24 gates and 36 side gates in the imperial palace of Japan. Many imperial police are on guard with swords. There are long bridges in front of each gate, which are called "broken foot bridge" by Japanese people. If someone sneaks across the gate bridge, the imperial police will cut off his feet with a knife, and then punish him with disrespect (death penalty). According to Cai's later recollection: "at 11:50 (night), I took 30 or 40 yellow book covers, green silk thread regiments, three silver cones, and a bag of needles, which were specially used by the Royal Library. Acting as a Book mender, I took the golden round" Royal temporary passage spleen "(No. 72) handed over by count Muye to lead the way from Yamashita to the imperial city." At 0:50, he entered the library through the "Royal gate at the foot of Hongye mountain". "The memorials of Tanaka are made of" shinei paper "specially used for memorials of the Japanese cabinet. There are sixty or seventy pieces of them, labeled" memorials of prime minister Tanaka. ". I put carbonaceous acid paper on the original and use pencil to trace it. The carbonaceous acid paper used is a thin base paper specially used by the president of the civil affairs party. It took two nights and finished carefully. " CAI was overjoyed and telegraphed to Wang Jiazhen: "I'm going to make amends if I get the result." Hide the copy in the interlayer of the suitcase, go to Shenyang and hand it over to Wang Jiazhen. Wang's family has not been decided for a moment
