Life of the characters
Jiangling formation
Niu Jin was Cao Ren's Ministry at the beginning. In 209 A.D. (the 14th year of Jian'an), Zhou Yu led tens of thousands of troops, and thousands of vanguards had arrived. Cao Ren ascended the city to look far away, and raised 300 people, which made Niu Jin meet the challenge of the army. However, there were many Wu troops and few cattle and gold, so they were surrounded. When Cao Ren and Chen Jiao were in the city, they saw that Niu Jin and other 300 people were dying, and all the people around them were pale and frightened. However, Cao Ren was angry and called for horses. Chen Jiao and others knew that Cao Ren wanted to go down to the city to save the cattle, so they pulled Cao Ren together and said, "the thieves are powerful, and they can't do it. Why don't you give up these hundreds of people, and the general will go with his body! " Cao Ren should not, put on his horse in armor, and led dozens of his heroes to ride out of the city. More than a hundred paces away from the Wu army, Chen Jiao and others thought that Cao Ren was just pawning in the ditch to support Niu Jin. Unexpectedly, Cao Ren crossed the ditch and rushed into the enemy's encirclement. Niu Jin and others were rescued. However, there were still many people in the enemy's encirclement, but Cao Renfu broke in again. He pulled the remaining soldiers out of the encirclement, killed several people of the Wu army, and repulsed the Wu army.
He who is tired is meritorious
After the establishment of Cao Wei, Niu Jin became a subordinate of Sima Yi. In 231 A.D. (the fifth year of Taihe), Zhuge Liang launched a northern expedition. Sima Yi ordered Niu Jin to ride baits to lure the Shu army. As soon as the battle was fought, Zhuge Liang withdrew and pursued to Qishan. In 235 A.D. (the third year of Qinglong), Ma Dai, a general of the Shu Han Dynasty, entered the army. Sima Yi ordered Niu Jin to defeat the Shu army and beheaded more than 1000 troops. In 238 ad (the second year of Jingchu), Gongsun yuan of Liaodong rebelled against Cao Wei. Sima Yi led Niu Jin and Hu Zun to ride 40000 horses from Luoyang. After that, he pacified Liaodong, Daifang, Lelang and xuantu. According to the chronology of Wei generals and ministers, it is believed that the general was moved in this year, and there is no record that the general was Niu Jin. However, Niu Jin has not died in the next few years, so it is doubtful.
Anecdotes of characters
It is said that at that time, there was a widely spread prophecy book called xuanshitu, which recorded the prophecy of "Niu Jima Hou". Sima Yi asked the astrologer to take charge of the fortune of his descendants, and the result of which was the same as xuanshitu. Sima Yi didn't know what he meant. Later, he was appointed as Taifu, and his power was overwhelming. Sima Yi suddenly got in touch with him and thought of the prophecy of "Niu Jima Hou". He was afraid that Niu Jin would be harmful to his children and grandchildren in the future, so he sent someone to invite him to a banquet. He poisoned the wine, and Niu Jin was magnanimous and didn't have the heart to be on guard. He died after drinking. From then on, Sima Yi thought that if Niu Jin was dead, his descendants would be able to rest easy and enjoy happiness, but they didn't know that the world was unpredictable. Sima Jin, the grandson of Sima Yi, was granted the title of Queen Langya, and his wife Xiahou was granted the title of concubine. The Xiahou family was very romantic, and soon became a traitor with a small official in the palace, who was also called niujin, and later gave birth to Sima Rui. This is what history books say. Sima Rui is not the blood of the royal family, but the son of Niu Jin, a petty official in Langya palace. It was just because of the rumor that Niu followed Ma that general Niu Jin was wrongly killed. Later generations jokingly called Sima Rui Niu Rui. For example, Li Zhi, a thinker of the Ming Dynasty, called the Eastern Jin Dynasty "the Jinniu family of the Southern Dynasties" instead of Sima. "Niu Jima Hou" means that Sima Rui is the son of Niu family, and Niu family name inherits the throne on behalf of Sima family. There are many historical records. In addition to the two official histories of Jin Shu and Wei Shu, there are also relevant descriptions in Helin Yulu, Rongzhai essays and bintuilu.
Historical evaluation
Luo Da Jing: "Sima cheated people into being lonely and widowed, and he won the position. I don't know that Wei Dynasty was not nearly destroyed, but Jin Dynasty was also destroyed. Why? Emperor yuan was the son of Niu Jin, but Sima was destroyed by Niu. " Cai Dongfan: "the remains of Zhongyu can not be seen in detail, but a vein is left to protect the remnant territory. If it had not been for Niu Jinli, Huaimin, Shen Jianjin would have died. "
