Tai Shici

Taishici (166-206), Ziyi, was born in Donglai Huangxian (now donghuangchengji, Longkou, Shandong). In the last years of the Eastern Han Dynasty, he was a famous general, and his official rank was Jianchang Duwei. Bow and horse skillfully, arrow method is excellent. In order to save Kong Rong, he broke through the encirclement and asked Liu Bei for help. He used to be a subordinate of Liu Yao, but was later demoted by sun CE. From then on, Tai Shici became sun's general, helping him to sweep Jiangdong. After that, sun Quantong entrusted him with the important task of managing the South because taishici was able to control Liu Pan.

In the 11th year of Jian'an (206), Tai Shici passed away. Before his death, he said, "when my husband is born, he should take a three foot sword to ascend the rank of the emperor. How can I die if I don't follow my will (the book of Wu and the romance of the Three Kingdoms states that "the eldest man was born in troubled times, so he should take the three foot sword to make a contribution to the end of the world; if his ambition is not fulfilled, how can he die!") He died at the age of 41.

Taishici is seven feet and seven inches long. He has beautiful beard and beard. He is good at shooting with ape arms. His string is not empty. He is a real marksman. Since he was young, he was very studious, and later served as the county's history player. At that time, there was a dispute between the county and the state, and the right and wrong could not be separated. The judgment of closing the case was more advantageous to let the magistrate (the official in charge of punishment and reward) first. At that time, the memorials of the prefecture had been sent to Yousi first, and the sheriff was afraid that he would fall behind, so he asked for someone who could be an emissary. At the age of 21, Tai Shici was selected as an envoy. He traveled day and night to Luoyang. He first went to the bus door and waited until he saw the officials. Tai Shici asked the officials falsely, "did you come here to ask for a passage?" The official replied, "yes." Tai Shici asked, "where is the memorial?" State official way: "in the car." Taishici then said: "is the title of the memorial correct? Can I have a look? " The officials did not know that taishici was from Donglai, so they took out the memorials. However, Tai Shici had already hidden his sword in his heart. After taking the state seal, he cut it off and destroyed it. The governor exclaimed in great surprise: "someone has destroyed my memorial!" Taishici then took the official to the workshop and said to him, "if you don't take out the memorial to me, I can't damage it. I'm afraid our good fortune and bad fortune will be equal. I'm not alone in this crime. Instead of waiting to die, if we all run away together, we can at least save our lives, and we don't have to be punished for nothing. " The governor asked suspiciously, "you have succeeded in destroying my memorial for this county. How can you escape?" Tai Shici then replied, "I was sent by this county at the beginning to inspect whether your state regulations have been passed. But what I did was so intense that it destroyed the seal. Now, even if we see it, I'm afraid we will be condemned and punished for it, so we hope to escape together. " The officials believed what Tai Shici said, but they all fled today. But after taishici and the officials left the city, they sneaked back to the city to pass on the county seal and completed their mission. When the Zhou family knew about it, they sent another official to Luoyang to pass the seal. However, due to the reason that they got the county seal first, they did not investigate the case any more, so the Zhou family suffered from it. Taishiciyou is well-known in the world, but he also became a person hated by the state family. In order to avoid the disaster, he stayed in Liaodong.

Beihai repays kindness

In 193, when Kong Rong, the Prime Minister of Beihai, heard about the incident, he was very surprised, so he sent people to ask Tai Shici's mother several times and presented gifts as a compliment. When Kong Rong went out to fight against the Yellow turban army, he was besieged by Guan Hai, the general of the Yellow turban army. When Tai Shici returned home from Liaodong, his mother said to him, "although you and Kong Beihai have never met each other, Beihai has been more considerate and attentive to me since you left. Compared with the old relatives, Beihai has been besieged by thieves. You should help him." So three days later, Tai Shici left home and went to Duchang alone. At that time, the thieves' enclosure was not too close, so Tai Shici took advantage of the night to rush into the enclosure to see Kong Rong, and asked him to send troops to beg for the thieves. Kong Rong didn't listen to his words and just waited for foreign aid. But the rescue didn't come, and the thieves were forced around. Kong Rong wanted to meet Liu Bei, the Prime Minister of the plain. Unfortunately, no one in the city was willing to go out of the siege, so Tai Shici asked himself to have a try. Kong Rong then said: "nowadays, there are so many thieves around that people say it's hard to break through. Although you have great ambition, it's still too difficult, isn't it?" Tai Shici replied: "in the past, the Lord of the palace was willing to take care of my mother. My mother was grateful for the kindness of the Lord of the palace, and she sent me to help him. This is because I should have something good to do, and it will be beneficial to the Lord of the palace. Now people say that they can't break through the encirclement. If I also say that I can't, isn't this the original intention of the king of the government and my mother to send me? The situation is urgent. I hope you don't doubt it. " Kong Rong agreed to this.

After dawn, he took his arrow bag, shot his bow and mounted his horse. He led the two horses with him, each holding an arrow target, and opened the door straight out of the gate. The thieves outside were all very frightened, and the soldiers and horses were on guard against each other. But Tai Shici only led the horse to the side of the moat, inserted a good target, and learned to shoot. After learning to shoot, he went back to the city. The same thing will happen in the morning. Some of the servants on the outside will stand up or lie down, so he will set up the target again, finish shooting, and then go back to the city. When he came back again in the morning, his subordinates no longer stood on guard, so Tai Shici rushed out of the encirclement. When the group of thieves realized that taishici was more and more besieged, they shot several people with bows and arrows, and they all fell in line, so no one dared to catch up.

Soon after he arrived in the plain, Tai Shici lobbied Liu Bei: "I am a man from Donglai. I am not a flesh and blood relative of Kong Beihai, nor a friend of the local party. I only know each other because of my admiration for comrades, and I have the feeling of sharing disaster and suffering together. Today, Guan Hai riot, besieged Beihai, poor and helpless, is in danger. I've heard for a long time that the ambassador has the name of benevolence and righteousness, which can save people's lives. Therefore, Beihai is looking forward to your help. He is more kind and willing to take the risk of cutting edge, stand out the encirclement, and entrust words to the ambassador from death. I only hope that the ambassador will know about it. " Liu Bei was restrained and replied, "does Kong Beihai know that there is Liu Bei in the world?" He immediately sent 3000 elite soldiers back to Duchang with taishici. When the thieves heard that the reinforcements had arrived, they were all busy to break away. Kong rongdeji paid more attention to Tai Shici and said, "you are really my little friend." After the incident, Tai Shici also enlightened his mother, and her mother also said, "I'm very glad you can repay Kong Beihai."

In the second year of Xingping (195), Liu Yao, the governor of Yangzhou, and Tai Shi CI were in the same county. Since Tai Shi CI came back from Liaodong, they did not meet each other. So Tai Shi CI also crossed the river to qu'a to see Liu you. Before he left, sun CE had already attacked dong'a. Some people advised Liu you to appoint Tai Shici as a general to refuse sun CE, but Liu Yao said, "if I use Zi Yi, Xu Zi will laugh at me for not knowing how to use people." Therefore, the investigation of taishici only depends on the military situation. When it came to shenting, Tai Shici met sun CE with a cavalry pawn. At that time, sun CE had a total of 13 followers, all of whom were brave men such as Huang Gai, Han Dang and song Qian. Taishici is not afraid to fight against sun CE. Sun CE got off his horse to taishici's seat and grabbed taishici's halberd. At the same time, taishici also grabbed sun CE's helmet. It was not until the two armies came together to shenting that the two were dismissed.

Later, Liu Yao, the guardian of taishici, was defeated and ran to Yuzhang. He fled to Wuhu and fled into the mountains, and was known as the Danyang prefect. At the same time, sun CE has pacified the area to the east of Xuancheng, but six counties to the west of Jing County have not yet been pacified. Taishici was stationed in Jingxian county and stationed troops to establish his residence, which was attached to Shanyue. After that, sun CE personally attacked Jing County and finally imprisoned Tai Shici. Seeing kindness, sun CE untied him, held his hand and said, "do you still remember the battle of shenting? What would you do with me if I was born? " "It's unknowable," he said Sun CE laughed and said, "in the future, I will work with you." That is to say, he worshipped Tai Shici as the next governor, returned the military power to Empress Wu, and worshipped Zhechong Zhonglang general. Later Liu Yao died in Yuzhang, and there were more than ten thousand soldiers in his department, so sun CE ordered Tai Shici to appease the soldiers. Both sides said, "Tai Shici will go north instead of returning it." But Sun CE said confidently, "Ziyi, who else can he go to if he abandons me?" Instead of his farewell to changmen, he asked Tai Shici by the wrist, "when can I come back?" "It's only sixty days," he replied As expected, he returned as scheduled.

On the section of taishici's surrender to Sunce, there is another paragraph in Wu Li: "taishici was defeated in shenting, which was held by Sunce. Sun CE always heard of his name. He immediately untied him and asked about his enterprising skills. Taishici replied: "the general who broke the army is not enough to discuss the matter." Sun CE said: "in the past, Han Xin was able to make plans for Guangwu, but now he can ask benevolent people for solutions. How can you refuse?" Tai Shici then said, "the Yangzhou army has broken down recently, and the soldiers are all scattered, so it's hard to get together again. CI is willing to go out and show his kindness, so as to calm his heart and gather his people together, but he's afraid that it's not respectful." Sun CE knelt down and said, "this is what he really wanted. Tomorrow, I hope you can return it in time. " All the generals doubted taishici very much. Only sun Cejian said, "taishiziyi is a famous scholar in Qingzhou. He will never deceive me if he takes faithfulness first." Tomorrow, sun CE invited the generals to set up a bamboo pole in advance to inspect the shadow of the sun. In the middle of the day, taishici came back according to the agreement. Sun CE was very happy and often discussed military affairs with him. Although Pei Shiqi thought that taishici was not captured by sun CE in shenting, he doubted that the facts recorded in Wu Li were false. However, it is not beautiful to take his words to describe sun CE's knowing people and his son's righteousness and keeping faith.

"Jiangbiaozhuan" also records that sun CE asked taishici: "I heard that Zhiqing robbed Zhouzhang for the prefect in the past. He went to help Kong Wenju (Rong) and asked Liu Xuande (BEI) for help. They were all righteous deeds. He was really a wise man in the world, but he was not entrusted by him. The ancients did not think that Guan Zhongyuan belonged to Qi Gongzi
