Fang Ji
Fang Ji (1919 ~ April 29, 1998), a famous contemporary writer, was born in Xinji City, Hebei Province (formerly Shulu county), formerly known as Feng Ji. He was born in a peasant family in Shulu County, Hebei Province in 1919. His works include more than ten novels and poetry collections, the representative work between waves, and the autumn of the Three Gorges, among which the autumn of the Three Gorges is recorded in primary school textbooks. "Between waving hands" records the important historical moment that Mao Zedong went to Chongqing to participate in the peace negotiation of the Republic of China after the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945.

Fang Ji, formerly known as Feng Ji, took part in the "129 movement" when he was studying in Peking. In 1936, he joined the Communist Party of China and joined the left wing writers League. At the beginning of the Anti Japanese War, he successively did political propaganda work in Wuhan, Changsha, Chongqing and other places. In 1939, he went to Yan'an. During the Yan'an period, he worked in the Central Party school, the Association for literary and art circles, Marxism Leninism college and the Liberation Daily. During the war of liberation, he worked in Jizhong leading newspaper and participated in the land reform team. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, he served as chairman of the Federation of literary and art circles of Rehe province. After 1949, he successively served as the editorial board member and director of the literature and Art Department of Tianjin daily, director of the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of culture, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee, and Secretary of the Party group of the Tianjin Federation of literary and art circles.
In the spring of 1956, Fang Ji worked and interviewed with the Three Gorges Geological Exploration Team in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River until the autumn of the same year. On this trip, he wrote essays such as "a trip to the Yangtze River", "going to the Jinsha River", "autumn of the Three Gorges", among which "autumn of the Three Gorges" was selected as unit 3 "Mother River" in Volume 1 of grade 6 of Beijing Normal University Edition. Fang Ji's prose "between waves" (written in October 1960) has a great influence. Other works include long poems "the river goes to the East", "the endless Yangtze River rolls in", and the critical collection "the collection of learning Swords".
In 1935, he attended Peking University. In 1936, he joined the "12.9" movement, the "left League" and the Communist Party of China. He took part in the rural land reform and wrote the novel "the story under the old mulberry tree" and the novella "the discontinuous story", which reflected the people's Anti Japanese and land reform movement in central Hebei.
From Chongqing to Yan'an in 1939, he worked in Jiefang Daily and other units. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, he was the chairman of the Federation of literary and art circles of Rehe province. During the war of liberation, I worked as an army reporter on the front line. After liberation, he served as director of literature and Art Department of Tianjin daily, director of Tianjin Culture Bureau, Secretary of the Party group of Tianjin Federation of literary and art circles, deputy director of Propaganda Department of Tianjin municipal Party committee, chairman of Tianjin Branch of the writers' Association, etc.
During the war of liberation, he served as an army reporter on the front line.

In 1956, he traveled to the southwest and wrote a collection of essays praising the great leap forward of the motherland, a trip to the Yangtze River. Later, he wrote a long poem "endless Yangtze River rolling in" and "the river goes to the East", and published a short story "visitors".
In 1965, he published a collection of essays between waves. In addition, there is also a literature review collection, Xuejian collection.
During the cultural revolution, he was cruelly persecuted, resulting in serious disability.
In 1979, he served as member of the China Federation of literary and art circles and director of the writers' Association.
