Life of the characters
In June of the second year of Jingyao (259), Liu Xun was granted the title of new king by Liu Chan.
In the first month of the first year of Xianxi (264), Liu Xun's elder brother Liu Xun died in the disturbance of Zhonghui. Liu Xun followed his father Liu Chan and Shuhan clan to Luoyang. After Liu Chan entered the Jin Dynasty, he was granted the title of Duke Anle, but his eldest son Liu Xuan died. Liu Yao, Liu Xun's second elder brother, should have been chosen as his successor. However, Liu Chan chose Liu Xun as his successor because of his preference for Liu Xun. Wen Li advised him, but Liu Chan did not listen.
In 271, Liu Chan died of illness and was posthumously named Sigong. Liu Xun inherited the title. After Liu Xun inherited the title, he acted arrogantly and violently. People in Liangzhou and Yizhou wanted to dethrone him. Wen Li stopped them and said, "he only damaged his family, not the people." Later, Liu Xun was promiscuous and unruly. He pan wrote with Wang Chong, the governor of Shangyong, and Zhang Yin, the governor of Fuling, to admonish and accuse him, asking him to think over what Wen Li said.
Yongjia five years (311 years), Yongjia rebellion broke out, Liu Xun died about that year, descendants extinct.
Historical evaluation
Chen Shou: it's easy to say that there are husband and wife, then father and son. At the beginning of his wife's relationship, there is no more than that. So it is a record to study the body of a country.
Wen Li: they are not as violent as the common people. When the first public, so also de er.

Character controversy
Zhang Shu, a scholar of the Qing Dynasty, quoted miscellaneous notes in his book zhugezhong collection of works of marquis Wu as saying: "after Liu Chan moved to Luoyang, Liu Xun, the king of Taoyang, did not want to leave his hometown to go to Luoyang, so he negotiated with Guansuo to flee south. Wei Shu, the general of Jin Dynasty, led the cavalry to pursue Liu Xun. Fortunately, Huo Yi and Lu Kai joined forces to stop him, and Wei Shu led his army to retreat. Later, Liu Xun sent Zhuge Zhi, the son of Zhuge Zhan, as an emissary to nanzhong to contact Meng Qiu, the foreign commander, and wanted to settle in nanzhong. Under Zhu Rong's advice, Meng Qiu let Liu Xun live in Yongchang.
However, Zhang chongchen, a modern scholar, questioned this and suggested three doubtful points.
1. The title of Taoyang King recorded by Zhang Shu has never been seen in historical books.
2. Guan Suo and Mrs. Zhu Rong's biography of Hua Guan Suo and the romance of the Three Kingdoms, which came from the yuan and Ming Dynasties, are fictional figures, and Zhuge Zhi is not found in the classics before Sui and Tang Dynasties
Thirdly, there is a contradiction between this record and the record of Shu Shi Pu written by Sun Sheng.
