Character evaluation
In the movie "eight thousand miles of cloud and moon", Shi Dongshan's superb technical level and artistic talent are fully displayed. In the film, the realistic style of long lens and the artistic expression of montage are fully displayed in his hands. The connection of lens is like flowing clouds and flowing water. The whole work is majestic, grand, delicate and profound. At the same time, the work does not affect its artistic expression because of its semi documentary style, on the contrary, the wonderful film language and full characterization (Haining news online review). At the same time, his films are rich in content and complete in characters, with the generality of history and the reality of life; they are concise, lively and fluent in Art (Netease). In his artistic exploration, he also perfectly integrated realism and freehand brushwork, and explored profound social problems on the theme through the combination of subjective and objective reality. In the selection of themes, he focused more on the petty bourgeoisie and intellectuals, reflecting the artistic taste of Chinese style. In addition, the reappearance of female themes was also Shi Dongshan's unchanging course (Li Qun Ping, Southwest University).
