Shan Yu

Shan Yu, whose name is Shi Tai, is named Ju Po. He is from Linchuan, Jiangxi Province. He was a literary critic in the early Ming Dynasty. Zhengtong four years (1439) Jinshi, except Shengxian county magistrate. He was falsely accused of being strict with his subordinates. The truth of the incident is that Bai Hou was transferred to Zhuji county magistrate. He was bereaved and removed. When he was appointed to the capital, he was asked by Shangshu to stop the internal officials of the imperial guards. He also asked to dismantle daxinglong temple, build barracks with wood and stone, and cast weapons with steel, so that monks and nuns could return to the secular life. Emperor Jing did not accept it. He was re appointed Marquis (now Fujian Marquis) magistrate. Shan Yu was a county magistrate for three times. He had made great achievements in government and was famous for loving and benefiting the people. After a long time as Marquis magistrate, he died in office.
Evaluation of later generations
He is studious and famous, and has some attainments in literature. He has 26 volumes of jupo Conghua, which is stored in the poetry review category of the collection of Siku Quanshu Zongmu. This book is intended to match with Hu Zai's Tiaoxi Yuyin Conghua, which inherits Hu's works in time, but is not as extensive as Hu's. However, it still has reference value for the poetry research after Song Dynasty. It is divided into 26 categories: astronomy, geography, seasons, flowers and trees, birds and animals, palace, utensils, characters, poets, fenghuai, marriage, zhizhengqishou, Shifan, Xianyi, Ai Shi, Keju, Bingrong, Songzhi, banter, body, clothing, diet, literature and history, poetry, Si Liu and Yuefu . One volume for each type. Among them, there are twenty-four volumes of poems, four or six volumes of poems and one volume of Yuefu. Most of them are works of Song Dynasty, which are related to Yuan Dynasty. Many of the original books have been lost, so they are of great data value. Now it has been included in Siku Quanshu cunmu series. It is said that the history of Ming Dynasty, volume 164.
